TV plays the wrong audio language? Keep only the right track

Type the languages you want in order (for example “en, fr”). For every video the first available one is kept — as the only, first track.

Your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

1 Your TV, box or projector

Not on the list? Paste the “supported formats” table from the manual

2 Your videos

3 USB stick, sound and subtitles

4 Save to the stick or a folder

Long batch? Leave the tab open and visible — the screen is kept awake. If the tab is closed, open the page again and press “Continue”: finished files are skipped.

Why the TV ignores the track you set

MKV files can hold several audio tracks with a “default” flag, but many TV players simply take the first track. Some only show the audio menu while the video is playing, and tracks they can’t decode (DTS) are hidden entirely — so it looks as if the language can’t be changed.

One rule for the whole batch

Questions

What if a file has no track in my language?

The next language in your list is used, then the default track, then the first one.
