Typical limits
- Magcubic HY300 / HY300 Pro (Allwinner H713): native 1280×720 — anything above 720p only wastes space; AAC/MP3 sound.
- HY320, Wanbo T2 Max/T6, Yaber V6: 1080p panels, H.264/HEVC, AAC.
- Mini LED projectors without Android (YG300, UNIC, Vankyo): 720p H.264, FAT32 only, MP3/AAC, MKV not always.
- BenQ: their own FAQ — no sound means the audio codec isn’t supported; AC3/DTS play silent.
Converting to the panel’s resolution also makes files 2–4× smaller, so far more fits on the stick.
Questions
My projector says 4K support — should I keep 4K?
Most budget “4K-support” projectors accept a 4K file but show it on a 720p or 1080p panel. Converting to the native resolution looks the same and saves a lot of space.
